So,
in my quest for good health and of course, great hair, I have discovered a new bandwagon to jump upon, haha! Yes, I do tend to try things that might not always be smart, but promise quick results and cost a fortune. This isn't one of those things, as far as I can tell. Keep in mind that I am on the bandwagon now, so I might be biased!
One day, while mindlessly flipping through the channels, I happened onto the Dr. OZ show.....now there's a guy that endorses pretty much everything, so my usual skepticism was running in overdrive. He was discussing juice cleansing and, by golly, I got sucked in. There was another Dr. on that day recommending some elusive supplements as well as the juice, and I was not really into the idea of driving all over Portland looking for some expensive crap that wouldn't do much anyway, (yes, I've been there before!), so I moved on and started researching general juicing for health, and got really excited! There are many health benefits to juicing and good hair is one of them! Could this be true? Could good health be a catalyst for great hair? UH..... YEAH, DUH!!!
The next day, the beautiful @LisaHires came into the salon and I told her about this show I watched. Of course, she was excited too!! We decided to start juicing right away. The only problem was that neither one of us had a juicer.....blenders work just as good, we decided, so we headed home to get going. I stopped at the store, bought the ingredients to make this wonder concoction, and got home to discover that my POS blender had died a lonely death sometime during the year since I used it last. Well, crap, now what?? No blender, no juicer, no juicing! Lisa found some juice at whole foods, and was nice enough to buy me one and bring it to me at work. It was fine, but cost a small fortune! $5!!! Multiply that x3 everyday and it makes more sense to me for buy the damn juicer. Funny thing was, the day I decided to go scope out the juicer selection at bed bath & beyond, they sent me a coupon in the mail! HOW DID THEY KNOW??? Hahaha!
The Omega 8006 now sits on my counter, producing the most amazing juice! I went to the little fruit stand in town and got and entire cart of produce for only $34. Amazing!!
Any way, this is a journey that I plan to take with the hope of better health and will keep everyone informed of how its going. Lisa started a blog that is specifically for our juice journey, so, go follow that one too. I will probably keep the juice stories on that one unless there is some amazing hair, skin results that I want you to know about.
Thanks for reading!! Subscribe if you like this so I know if I should keep this up!
